- The Bates just started their homeschooling year, so their lives have suddenly become much busier. They primarily use A Beka Book, which, according to Kelly Bates, stays close to the public school schedule and produces high standardized test scores.
- Trace Bates hopes to audition to be a trick rider at the Dixie Stampede very soon. How exciting is that?
- Three-week-old Brooklyn Paine is doing very well, as are the rest of the Paines. Erin still teaches piano lessons out of her home, and Katie usually comes over to babysit Carson and Brooklyn. Erin and Chad are in the process of starting a furniture business, which they will call Cherin's.
